I am thinking of mounting flashers or turn signals on the ROPS of my 1755. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good after-market system?

I plan to mount a radio. Does the wire go straight to the battery or through the swithch? What will I need to do for spark noise suppression?

The radio is easy to address, connect the hot lead to a switched power position (the "run position" terminal normally is fine). The problem with connecting any radio straight tot he battery is that when the radio is off, it can sometimes run the battery down.

As for noise supression, if you are adding an FM, radio, you should not have much problem as is. If adding a CB or AM radio, switch plugs to resistor types if available for your unit, switch plug wires over to resistor wires. Add a .1 mfd condenser/capacitor between the power feed of the wiper motor (if cabbed and with electric wiper) and chassis ground add a .1mfd condenser/capacitor to the "A" terminal of the alternator or generator and ground. If you have a cab and a blower motor for heat or A/C add a .1 mfd capacitor to the power feed side of the blower motor. Also add the same capacitor to any power feed side of accessories that may be switched on or off while running.

A smaller value can work too, but not too small. These noise supressor caps look like the old condensers for ignition points or Magneto points. Regular capacitors from radio shack or other electronic supplier of this value will work too, they just need to be protected as they are not as durable as the metal can types typically used.

As for turn signals, JC Whitney used to carry kits for this, and the price was not too bad, they should ahve some available, but youmay have to contact them directly, or if you try the catalog first, get the one for "Old Cars".
