Thanks Scottf for your help with my previous questions I certainly did appreciate it. This is my next problem. I'm in the process of replacing the two rubber seat springs in a pan type seat. I was trying to be careful to keep everything in order as I disassembled the seat to replace the springs but to much time passed and things got disorganized. Now I need help with the reassembling. I have shop manual and parts manual but just cannot figure it out. Does someone have a good picture which would show an assembled seat? I would be so ever grateful. Thank you.

I can sympathize. I've rebuilt three of those seats assemblies and still have to be looking at another one to get it back together. Even then I have a hard time. I have a digital camera now so I can take as many photos as you need and email them to you if I had your email address. My email is [email protected]. If you email me or post your email address I will send you photos. I don't know how to post them on this site. I know it's been explained before but I was not paying attention at the time. I didn't think I would need to know how to do it.

You should have asked me about seats assemblies a couple of days ago. I just rebuilding a seat assembly Friday. I could have taken step by step photos. I should have. I plug weld all the holes and then drill them out again to the proper size. I build up with weld the pivot rods were they are gouged. I fill the slots where the roll pin chews up the little tube bracket and machine in new slots. I install new bronze bushing, roll pins and rubber torsion springs. It's like new when I'm done but it takes me about 6 hours to rebuild the seat assembly. Depending on how much trouble I have getting the old rubber torsion springs out.
