Do I need early or late model 70 carb?

I purchased a 70 yesterday with a model 4 cornpicker attached to it. The price was cheap and I thought I needed to get it before somebody else got it. Everything on the tractor is mostly complete except the owner had to have the carb back. (Don't ask)
When I started looking for a replacement carb, I notice the early carb has an OEM number of TSX 186 and the late carb has an OEM 10004 number. My question is this: When was the switchover date on these carbs? This appears to be a later model 70. (Don't have the serial number in front of me, I'll look tomorrow)
Thanks in advance.

Even though they used several carbs ther are really only two different bolt patterns. The large carb used mostly on the 5 gears and the small one used on the 3 gears. I have extras of each if you need one e-mail me for a price.

There are several carbs that were used on the 70's. the serial number is needed to determine the proper one. I have a 1940 and a 1947 70 - both have Zenith carbs, only with 2 different spec numbers.
