I posted this over at the Implement Alley forum, but though I should post it here too - given that I cannot find much info about this mower. I read in the archives that the Oliver 415 is also a Cockshutt 315 or 315A.

Anyone ever heard of an Oliver 415 sickle bar mower? I saw one in the paper for about $300. It is a 7' and a pull behind model.
Are they reliable, are parts available?

Would an an AGCO dealer have any parts/manuals etc.?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

I have a piece of lit. of the 415 new for 1963.
I had a 415 it was a good mower. I understand parts are hard to get now. Later I traded the
415 for a 421 which was a balance head mower.

The 415 was introduced I think in 1963. It is a 315 Cockshutt mower with an Oliver cutterbar. We sold probably 10 of them and they worked good. You may need to add fluid or weight to the one wheel.

Try Robert Campbell for manuals. I thought that the Cockshutt 315/315A was Cockshutts own mower. My 315/315A operators manual is dated 1961 before the white buy out. The mower may have been renumbered after the buy out.
