eric,

You didn't mention the wagon load of stuff that
took over 3 hours to get thru. Personally I thought everything went pretty high for the condition things were in. I saw hg model crawlers
that sell on ebay for less than $20 go for $50. I went looking for 1/2 a crawler to help finish
mine. I would have been better selling my 1/2
crawler. Am I nuts or do people really pay those
prices for some things they never even knew if
the engine would turn over. Also they were taking
bids over a cell phone in the auction shack as they were selling things? Is that normal? Or did
I miss understand them? Jeff

The wagon load took a long time to sell but have been to others that have taken longer but they would sell that stuff on a friday night. I have been to national auctioneers like Auman and those guys that would do this but they are set up to do this and will tell you before hand that they will be doing this and it will take no longer to do it than having guys there bidding. They will have there people handling the phone calls not the kids that own it. You have to remember that the HPOCA was having its winter meeting going on the same day across the state. The prices were no higher than I have seen at other national advertised auctions. The stuff brought what it should in my explination. They paid way to much for most of the toys. $175 for an oliver 70 pedal tractor that you can still buy new and in the box for $140. Most of the Literature brought what it does on places like ebay and so forth.
