Just got back from an estate auction with my first Oliver, a Super 88.The tractor hasnt run in about 10 years.Motors stuck now,but was using lots of oil when it was running way back then.Needs overhaul, new grill, tires, one rear wheel.Sheet metal isnt to bad, just needs some work.I got the tractor with side shields and front mount cultivator for 325.00.Saved it from death at junk yard.My question is what model are the cultivators? No tag on them just a well worn Oliver decal. Also there was a front mount 2 row corn planter too no,but bad shape to buy.Does anybody know anything about the implements.i will try to post some before pictures. Thanks Alot.

Wives have a way of doing that every now and then. Just play ostrich for a while, you know, stick your head in the sand and wait for it to blow over. G'Luck Larry

Think your wife is mad?
I got mine a new set of 18.4x34's for Valantine's day. Even though they are for her tractor, I'm not real sure it was a good idea. So you can tell your wife that its not so bad that you brought home a tractor, other wives have it much worse than she does. Its all in the perseption.

Oliver 88; So sorry to hear your wife is MAD
(first time, still, right now, again, what's new).
I think the 88 will dress up real nice. Would be
good to see a few before and after pix as the rebuild moves forward. Good luck with the project and the mood of your better half. You have chosen a good tractor to rebuild.

Why is the wife mad? Was she bidding against you? Sounds like you got a fair price on that tractor.

if your cultivator is a pipe mount, it probably is a 1095 or a 1096. is it a hydrolic lift or a trip lift?
