We are adding a loader valve to an Oliver Super 77. Which plug on the hydraulic housing do I remove to get pressure oil?

You need to remove a 1/2 pipe plug on the left front lower corner of the housing. Then screw a 3/8 pipe plug back in deeper down in the hole and hook your pressure lin to where the original 1/2 plug was. Then run your return back in a plug by the oil filter on the right hand side of the housing.

This will not make sense to you at all but, are you going to be also using the tractors hydraulic system while the loader is on the tractor/ I would guess the loader valve is a double spool open center valve. Was the loader on a different tractor before this (in other words it is a used loader) if so what tractor/ How often and how long do you intend to use the loader/

The loader was on this tractor, however, it ran off of a pto powerered pump. We are going to use both of the tractors hydraulic outlets and are looking for the plug to remove to find pressure oil. Yes, it is a double spool open center valve. I would appreciate your help.

Randy, on the left side of the hyd unit is a large plug, remove it. On the right side of the unit is a 3/8" plug, remove it and install it inside where the large plug was. The small plug closes a passage to change the flow of the oil. If I remember right, the small hole on the right side is pressure, and the large hole is return, if not I've got it backwards.
