How do I wire up a 12 volt alternator to an Oliver 77, the alternator has 3 wire hookup, 1 threaded post, and 2 spade bit connectors on the back. How or what do I hook these 3 wires up to, to make the tractor's charging system work?

Try searching the archives for a 12v conversion.Someone put up a "how to" complete with schematic(sp?}. It was for a Farmall but works great on Olivers too. I've done 4 or 5 of them. Hope this helps!

Hard to answer with out knowing what alternator you have Delco? internal reg or external reg etc. If it where me I'd put a delco 1 wire on it and make it simple
