HI, was just wonderin if you could tell me the breakdown of my serial number on my 1800? Ya know, like what month, possibly day it was built, also what the numbers in the model number mean? The serial number is 139 205. The model number is 38-4209. Thanks for your help. Wide Open.

Your 1800 is a "C" series per specification number "38". The first 1800 "C" series was built on August 15 of 63 with serial nujber of 135 501. My best guess is that your tractor was built in the last week of October or first week in November of 63. The Floyd County Museum in Charles City Has now obtained the "Build cards" for all tractors built after the "Super Series". At some point for a small fee they will be able to tell you the exact date of final assembly, how the tractor was built, shipping date & to the city it was shipped. Don't call them today and ask as they have not gotten them organized to where they can look up a specific tractor.

Do you think they will ever have that info for the earlier models?

That's great news B.A. Star. I'm glad they were placed in the museum instead of possibly lost forever. Thanks for the update.
