I have an Oliver 550 Diesel (Industrial) Tractor in need of rear wheels. Can anyone help locate some? It's a great tractor and I do no want to loose it.

I have a gas 550 that I converted to 28" tires when I needed new wheels. They are a whole lot cheaper than 26" tires. Phil

I assume that the rims are rusted out from fluid. A good welding shop can cut the welds between the dish and rim and replace the rim. I have a friend that just replaced the rims on his 550 that are Power Adjust. He cut out the rails in his farm shop and welded them into the new rims after some careful alignment.

If you are in the midwest, consider looking for an older 25 or 30 year old junk combine. On a lot of them those wheels will bolt right on your 550 and most of the tires and rims are in good condition. It has been done before.

My assumption is that the Industrial uses same wheels and tires as AG tractors. That said, new rims should not be a problem they run about $200 each. They come in 10, 11, and 12-inch widths in the 26 or 28-inch diameter. For Power Adjust the 550 takes the same 6-loop rim all of the Fords use. The rims can interchange with Massey, Ford, and Case - 8 holes on 8". Make sure to watch the center hole diameter!!

The rear tires can be 26 or 28 inches with 26 being the most common. On mine I have 13.6x28 mounted and the fronts are normally 6.00x16 but on mine I have 6.50x16.

Consider posting a want ad on this site if new wheels are not a consideration.

The Industrials are different, in that the wheels and rims are one part. I would love to find new but used will do. The want ad idea is starting to look very attractive. Thanks for the help.

Jake -
Don't quite get your response. Mine only has eight. Same as this pic of a nice 550 AG. Am I missing something? Are industrials 9 lug?

You still might try calling them, they have a lot of used parts on hand also and who knows they might have the wheels you need
