Hi guys, I have a friend that recently aquired a Oliver Model 60 tractor it is in very god condition, but it's one bad point is it's rear wheels. Anyone know of a set of 36 inch rims for a 60 ,at a reasonable price??? We are located in North West Indiana. Please e-mail [email protected] Thanks .

I have seen several 60s with 36" rear tires, and most of them were on 60s with factory wide front ends. Does this tractor have a wide front, or a "B" after the serial number, which would mean that it originally had one? I have several 60s, and it is hard to find original rims. Most are on 32" if they did not have the wide front, and a few are on 28". Terry.

I have only ever seen one 60 with 36 inch rims. It also had extra long axles. Most around here are 32 inch. Try M.E. Miller over at Wauseon Ohio.

Here's the deal. You may find a set of good used rims for your 60 but most likely you won't find much better than what you have. I have been taking the original rims cutting the "dish" out of them and welding the old dish into a new set of "rings". The wheels I have repaired were 11-28's mounted on a 10 inch rim. I have used a 13 inch ring and mounted 13.6-28 tires (I like the way the tractor sits with this tire). I see in my Goodyear book that a 11.2-28 tire is still available. So you could put it back to original.

Any good machine shop should be able to help you out.
