After seeing a G750 Moline(1655) in the paper for some time I went to look at it this weekend as I am looking to replace my 1550. It was in very nice shape, 1900 original hours, gas motor, fair tires and he wants $10,500. Is this reasonable? I can get a 1655 for $6000. Seems steep, or is the collectors market getting that bad?

So thats what the tractor doctor in the Durand Wisconsin area wants for that tractor. I'd say thats way too high, even for a yellow one.

Thanks for the input, I think I'll stick with a green one. I can't justify spending that much extra for a paint job. For now I'm going to keep the 1550, it's a real nice size for moving my round bales.

I'd go with the Oliver 1655. Will have better resale. What do you plan to do with the 1550?

I would say it's because of the collector's market. It might be the same as a 1655, but there were alot more sold as 1655's than as G-750 Molines. That alone would make it more desirable to collectors. It's the same way with Molines sold as Olivers (1865, 2055, 2155, etc.) they sell for more than the samething as a Moline.

I ended up with an Oliver 2155 tractor in complete but non working condition that I plan to sell out of me front yard. Could someone help me with a fair asking price?

Thanks, PackRat
