There I was showing off my Super 55 Diesel when the Oil Filter blew off (Or fell). I was just idleing and shut down right away. But my Uncle (standing next to the tractor) wasn't so lucky. At least I know now that I have good Oil Pressure. Any body know a good oil remover from cotton clothes? I hear Dawn dish soap is good.

Anybody know other models of tractor that share the same oil filter base? I think mine is too worn.

Pete

Find an Amway distributor and get a can of Prewash Stain Remover Spray,it will definitly get out oil and grease stains. We use it on all of my greasy clothes and it works wonders!

The 550 and the Super 55 are the same. Call Worley's at 800-854-4313. They usually have a few around but it's been a while since I have been there to look around. The 66 should have the same filter base, but the 77 and 88 were different.

The filter base is the same as a 66 series and may be the same as a 77 or 88, I can't fully remember. The filter is at least the same. The base is the same on the gas or diesel. The newer bases were a cast iron instead of the white metal (Die Casted) and seem to stand up better.

Two options finish soaking the cloths in used diesel oil or dye them black to match. My wife would love to here of a detergent that would remove diesel oil stains from my clothes.:-)

Might want to try putting GOOP on those clothes before washing. But I think they're toast.
