When I worked for the dealer we had an 1850 that did that and I worked on one about 5 years ago that had that problem. Find me on the HPOCA website and leave me a phone number and don't take too much more apart just yet.

I'm no expert, but the first place I would suspect is the engine oil cooler. Next would be the Hydra-Power (2-speed) cooler. If you have the older style cooler, mounted on top of the Hydra-Power.

Put a hundred lbs. air on submerged oild cooler. didn't leak. Haveing let the milky substance stand it smells like motor oil. Not sure how much presuure to put on lighter weight hydro-drive cooler. maybe if water stands a few more days, i may ger some more defining color. Meanwhile, already started tearing engine down. found damage adjacent fifth and sixth sleaves. However, when I'm done I don't want to miss some little unthought of possiblility. Thanks much. One more thing to work on.
