There is a lot of parts interchange between the Fleetline, Super and 3 digit series tractors. Sometimes front frames are changed, there are Fleetline tractors running around with the flat mounting pads on the sides and front. The same thing is true with engine blocks. Another thing to check is then rear axle diameter. A Fleetline rear end has 2 3/4" diameter axles while the Super is 2 7/8".

One tractor I looked at had an 880 engine, Fleetline front frame and side panels and a Super rear end.

Good Luck,
A.P.

The block is from a super 88.
The frame, if it has the pads on the side of it is a super frame. The straight 88 did not have the pads on the side.

My parts book doesn't list the 1K100D block. I'm sure it exists, it was just replaced with a later letter. You have a "straight" 88 frame. The last "straight" 88's came from the factory with pads on the side and front, or a "super" frame. I can't say for sure at what serial number the change was made.

Check the printing Publication number on your parts book. I would guess your parts book is for both the 88 Fleetline and the Super 88 tractors. I think if I recall the K-100 D block is the one with the pad for the hourmeter and a few other changes which would make it the spring of 1952 or later.

Do you have a serial number on the dash? I was thinking (going by memory) the Super blocks are K-100E. Does your front frame had flat pads machined on each side with holes to mount equipment? These frames are also flat in front with mounting holes. The regular 88 (Fleetline tractor) did not have these pads or holes.
