I am looking for paint for my 1951 Oliver 77 Row Crop. The local tractor supply store has only "Oliver green", where do I find the correct yellow and the correct red for the wheels. The Cockshutt/Oliver paint reference page lists several yellows - which one?

Is there any reference out there on exactly how the 1951 tractor was painted? Many of the restorations I have seen seem to take liberty with some of the accent colors, i.e., decals, wheel hubs, etc.

You can find the right colors at your local NAPA store. Martin Senour paint. Oliver yellow is 99L-11611. Oliver red is 99L-3752. Oliver green is 99L-3751. These are good numbers as I just bought all three last week at NAPA.

Good luck.

I am in the process of preparing a 1951 Oliver Row Crop 77 Standard for painting. What color should it be painted. It currently has clover white wheels and I am not sure if that color is correct. My grandfather may have had it repainted years ago. Where is the best place to get decals?? Can I obtain a picture that shows how the tractor should be painted and the location of the decals???

Thank you

Dale

Painting a 77. Hopefully will be ready to show this year. But you know how that goes. Always seem to encounter roadblocks along the way.
