Hydraulics and 3 point change from S77 to 88

I have a S77 diesel with the 2 lever hydraulic coming out of the top with a 3 point. I also have an 88 with the mechanical lift. What would be involved in moving the hydraulics and 3 point to the 88 and the mechanical lift to the S77? Do I get into problems with the PTO shaft length? Thanks for your help.

If your mechanical lift works, the easiest way is to remove the lift and the top transmission shaft from the 88 and put them on the Super 77 Also the PTO support bracket will need to be moved from the 88 to the Super. The long PTO shaft stays with the tractor you took it out of.Questions. 40 years ago we did a fair amount of that at the dealership.

Do I need to do anything about moving the hydraulic pump from the S77 to the 88 or does the 88 with mechanical lift have a hydraulic pump? I'm asking this because I thought that the PTO shaft drives the hydraulic pump. Obviously inexperienced. Thanks for your help.

Remove the cover of the PTO clutch pack at the back and unbolt bearing/seal unit on back of bull gear housing that the PTO shaft rides through. Pull PTO shaft out. Keep eack shaft with original tractor. Unbolt gear shift knob on transmition plate. Keep gear shifter with original tractor just in case they have a wear pattern in the transmition slides. (that funny looking ball at the end of the gear shift) Next unbolt the mechanical lift from the 88 and remove. Unbolt the hydralic unit from the super. The pump is bolted to the under side of this plate and will transfer over to the other tractor when you do the switch. Switch both units to their new homes and bolt up. Install gears shifters and install PTo shafts. Add fluids as needed and try out. As Ollie used to say a manual would help but you should be able to figure it out.

Thanks everyone. That explanation helps a lot. BTW I do have a manual but the manual did not cover the conversion or at least I could not understand it. Thanks again
