Where is this pan that you guys keep talking about? I just bought one and want to make sure it is out. I have a parts book if it is in there give me the part number and I will find it.

I don't have the number in front of me, but you have to remove the hydraulic unit to get rid of it. It is underneath the hydraulic idler gear, and is about 3 inches wide and 8 inches long. I would reccomend replacing the idler bearings at the same time.

What is purpose of this pan in 2150 tractor? Why would you want to remove it?

The purpose was to keep oil from getting on the pto shaft and working it's way up to the clutch. It did it's job too well, it also kept oil from lubricating the hyd pump drive bearings and they have been known to go out and destroy the gears and the rear end housing
