Sure, Except I don't have anything to drag it with. :^(

Looks like it's all I-64 from you to there. Holler and I'll meet you at the Shelbyville, Ky Cracker Barrel. I'll even buy ya a big bowl of bean soup. That'll make sure you've got enough gas to get home. LOL

LOL Now you sound like my wife!!!!! !!!!!

You outta know by now this Oliver tractor thing is an addiction. I may have to go to an AA class for tractors, tractor buyers annom (sp) or something like that.

I could see it now..... ...

"Hello, my name is Myron from Ky, and I havent bought a tractor in over a month now" clap clap clap.....

Corse the wifes skeellitt on the back of my head has slowed the tractor buying habit somewhat, but I think my head is getting harder, or the skeellitt is wearing thin, cause I keep on looking at tractors to buy.....

My wife says her biggest fear is not that I would ever cheat on her, or even look at another woman, she is afraid that I am gonna come home and tell her I bought another tractor..... I cant imagine why?????

I actually do have another 5.9L engine in the back of the shop that I need to set up to go into an Oliver sometime, but I just havent gotten to it yet. It is for a smaller tractor as it does not have a turbo on it. I was actually thinking of putting it in my narrow front 1655 with the 283 diesel dies, but it just keeps on chuggin. Guess it knows that its replacement is waiting for it so it keeps running, now with over 8000 hours on it.

Hey Shep-
Would you consider selling that engine, or is it yours for keeps? Trying to talk my dad into maybe doing a conversion with our 1755, maybe cranking up the horse a little;-) Still wouldn't be able to do it till next year if we do, but god wouldn't it be FUN?? I'd have to do some searching around here, sure I could find one around somewhere. Also probly just look for an 1850 tub & bellhousing.

I will be interested in your old engine if you decide to repower.

No, this engine is not that special to me, but it does need some work before it goes into a tractor. I bought it cheap from a friend of mine, said it was burning oil out of number 6 cylinder. I figure it has a scored cylinder wall, so I was gonna tear it down and fix the cylinder and see what it would do. Its pretty bare right now, just a block a head and some other engine parts, but its not all there yet. I really didnt need it at the time but it was a good deal, and I figured I could use it, and you know..... .....

If you want to get an engine set up I can hook you up with my Cummins dealer here in town, he is a one horse operation but he has done many Cummins conversions too, and has helped me on a few when I got stuck, I am sure he can set you up with an engine about a cheap as anyone, and it will be set up right.

If I were you I would look into this option. I know you have been having trouble with your 310 Waukesha, and I am afraid with you using your tractor kinda like I do that the 310 is going to do this to you again.

Let me know if I can help..

Yeah, the engine is about the only thing left that gives us any trouble, other than a few leaks here & there(tried fixing a steering leak 3 times already, but still leaks a little) I ain't ready to commit yet, but once the time comes I'll be back, asking lots of questions. We have a cummins dealer not too far away, might try giving them a call also. Apparantly they have done a few, but it also costed about $10-12,000 for them to do the work. I'm sure I can find a tub and bellhousing at Wisconsin Tractor parts. Thank god they ain't too far away. If I do that conversion, the over/under and sheet metal will be the only thing left 1755 any more. Any one do custom decals for 1755/1855/1850/5.9 Oliver/ Cummins?? Think I'll have to find a different loader tractor as well, let this thing work hard for a living.

You sure hit close to home on that Oliver Anonymous scenario. Just thinking about that skillet makes my head hurt. The wife has since found a better deterrent. It's called Wal-Mart Super Center. Hard to buy tractors with an empty wallet and she makes sure it stays empty. :^(

Uhhhh, I think I am up to 5 now.

The 1850 with the side mount turbo
The 1855 with the loader and cab
The 1955 that I helped a friend do
The 2150 4x4 with the 200HP engine
and the 1655 wide front that I just finished this past spring.

It is pretty neat the difference between the 1850 which was my first conversion and the 1655 which was my latest. You can tell between the two that I have learned a lot in installing engines, the 1655 is just done differently and looks a little better in my view. Corse they are all still running strong with very few problems.

Now if you really want someone that has done a lot of repowers, Merlin in St Paul used to work for Cummins and he repowered 50 some Whites and Olivers while there. He has probably forgotten more about the repoweres than I will ever know.
