I agree. Give Sherry her job back!!! She has done a great job. All the members liked Sherry , and what she has done for the club.If the board is going to be there own little click , and start back stabbing the ones who are are not in the click , it's time to get rid of the board members. If not , the club has a real problem started. I vote for Sherry.

I have read Terry's comments on the HPOCA site. I can't understand why we can't get a clear discussion of the issues relating to Sherry's departure. All the information must have been compiled for our Board's meeting. Why can't we see what the Board members saw in making their decision? We have a serious problem with credibility here and the sooner that the membership has the information to decide for themselves just what has happened the better it will be for the HPOCA. It seems to me that Sherry has been forthcoming with what she knows. Now it is the Board's turn.

Just read the infamous letter, obviously did not need to be printed, but was,OK.Had no bearing for anyone's dismissal.Read Terry's response should be placed with the letter, said nothing. Here we sit as members with actions taken by a board elected by us but no explanation.....need to...as a group ask for a full accounting of their actions, individual responses would be much better because two are incumbents...the other candidate who is he? how does he feel about what has happened? Members... time's a wasting...one month left before ballots have to be in...and dues if renewing...What's next parting out #3 without our vote??

Like his daughter, he's not doing real well. He's done nothing but give to this association but has been accused of being a user and a crook. How would any innocent person take that?

To vote you must be a member in goodstanding, i.e. paid up dues. There is a ballot in the current magazine for treasurer and vice president. Members should send in there ballots as soon as possible. There is only one candiate for treasurer, but you can write in a name. Maybe Sherry would make a good treasurer now that she needs a job and Christmas tree sales will really dry up fast after the 24th of December.

Good idea about writing in the Treasurer. Who knows who we'll get? It isn't like that office requires any financial knowledge or anything. Just writing checks, I suppose.

We don't really need to know qualifications, do we? Just vote blindly. That'll make things better.

FYI, Treasurer for HPOCA does not command a salary. Wouldn't pay the bills too well.

The Treasurer doesn't require any finantial knowlege? By my figuring 6000 members at $30/year membership adds up to $180,000 dollars a year, and that's not including any merchandise the club sells at shows, selling videos, money generated at banquets, etc... Yeah that's the first thing I want to do is vote in a treasurer with no financial knowlege to handle all this money.

It is not uncommon for farmers have a gross income of over $180,000. At this piont in time I don't think you can say who is or is not qualifed for any HPOCA office.

Sorry, I was just reading Jerry B's response that Sherry would make a good treasurer. She did make a good editor, but I don't think Treasurer is her cup of tea.

Write-in doesn't sound like such a good idea anymore, does it? As you put it, $180,000 is a lot of money to trust to someone that the board didn't feel had the qualifications.

I think it is time for the directors to admit a mistake has beem made and reinstate Sherry and move on. I applaud Landis Zimmerman for standing by his principles and not going along with the board.

Your post just confirmed my guess that Landis was the one who didn't go along with the board.Makes me wonder what Landis's mentor And Sherry's friend the late Bob Tallman would say about this.It appears similar to the way White Motor Co. and cohorts gutted the Oliver Corp.by coming in the back door. Here's hoping Landis watches his back.

Got my mag today, I want to know how it will get better. Mr. Zimmerman if you need any help let me know. I sold my milk cows and have some spare time now, at 6'5" and 255 I think I can cover that area.
