When moving my 77 Standard between fields and to home this summer I had a problem come up that I'm thinking is too small a hole in the needls seat. Runs out of fuel only at road speed and takes a short while to do so. Back off the throttle a touch(to 3/4) and it keeps going. Let it creep up a bit and it'll stall until you close the throttle and let the fuel delivery catch up. The line at the carb puts out a good solid stream of gas so I'm thinking the newer looking needle and seat someone put in aren't the correct ones. Maybe from a 66? Anyone have a couple carb kits we can compare hole sizes between the two? Loren

I doubt there is any differance in those parts 66 or 77.Its likely you have some other problem.Maybe the gas cap is not vented, floating crap in the tank, gas line too close to heat, low float leval, power circit in carb messed up.
