I bought a 1955 that ended up having block problems. Some fine soul had mud dobbed on the deck where the liner seals set and when the beast got hot we got lots of anti-freeze in the oil! That got exspensive real quick.I found a nice welding shop in Chapin,Ill. to fix my leak for 1500. So watch what you buy. 310 blocks are getting hard to find so if it's good and you can buy it for less than 500 you'd better try to buy it.The head on this same motor was redone for 250.The only thing good on my motor was the crank so I got by cheap there.I'm starting to think that Shep is right with the Cummins repower. So much horse so much easier!
