I have a 550 Oliver that will not stop getting jambed between gears. I took the seat and plate off to get to the gearing. What I discovered was that both shifters were "between gears" and in effect jambing each other. I put them back in neutral, reassembled the old girl and drove her down the driveway. Only to stop, depress the clutch and shift gears. Jambed again! Help!

I own a 35MF that does that. I take the filler plug out, then insert a long screwdriver, to move the gears around. Lots of old tractors do that because of wear. Try shifting slowly and don't take short cuts when shifting.
