recently bought a 770, it needed a valve job so i brought it to a car quest machine shop , they intalled guides seats valves and rotaters then they checked for leakes and it hada couple small ones between two valves at 20 lbs . so he put some kind of sealer in and around seats and baked it at 350 and said it would be fine, is this true and will it be allright he said to use a 7lbs. rad. cap. advce please thanks pete

Personally I think they went about it wrong. I would have checked for leaks first and then contacted the owner with his options.

I would not be afraid of it if it was mine. but the only way to tell is put it on and try. when it gets good and hot you will find out.
