can anyone tell me what year oliver quit putting the throttle down low on the 70's? i have a newly acquired toy but somewhere along the line she lost her serial plate. i would also appreciate knowing other differences that might help me narrow down her age. thanks.

The throttle was moved to the steering column at S/n 258 140 which is 1945. Jerry B has a good memory to be that close. There should be a casting date on he bottom side of the transmission/final drive housing. There will be raised numbers in the casting. That date should be within 2/3 weeks of the assembly date.

If failing memeory still serves me well enough, I think in 44 the throttle was placed on the steering column.
