Doug

I am not in the mid west but since no one has taken a stab at your question I will attempt.
I am from the south where Olivers weren't plentiful. We farmed with Olivers and owned a 7ft 22A and then a 22B. I think the 22A came out about 1950 and the 22B about 1954. The last Oliver mower we had was the 82 and we pulled a hay conditioner behind it. Now back to your question, the 22A was an excellent mower for its time but since the development of the disc mower sickle bar mowers are about the thing of the past. If a 22A were to be auctioned here I doubt it would bring over $200-250 even in good shape. Some collectors are putting them behind 66's and this makes for a neat show piece. I would start offering very low because if you really want it you can always go up. Just a TN hillbillys 2 cents worth.
