I have a chance to buy what I think is an Oliver 1550 but the tin work on the tractor claims its a White. I found a tag over the transmission that claims its an Oliver 1550 there are 2 other numbers also 455-72001 and 215-362-507. The tractor is a diesel, it has a loader, it is painted yellow, has a shuttle shift on the floor with 2 pedals one for forward and one for reverse. My questions are 1) what is this tractor and who made it. 2) When was it made? 3) Who manufactured the motor? 4) What would it be worth? 5) How many HP would it have? Thanks for any info in advance.
Corey

Corey,

Without consulting a book as a source of reference, the 1550 diesel should be around 55 hp +/- 2 hp for the individual engine, its condition. Could be more if its fresher (newer overhaul). Gas 1550s were 53 hp. Revers-O-Torc is sure handy. P.S. This is a good Oliver diesel.

My book says that it is a 1969 Industrial 2-62. It is based on the 1550 tractor. It should have the Oliver/Waukesha motor that the 1550's had in them. It also has the Reverse-o-torq tranny in it. A nice option for a loader. It was made by White/Oliver. As far as the H.P. and value I would have to do some checking.
