Anyone know if Oliver used any type of ID tag on factory ROPS for the xx55 series? I have located a ROPS w/canopy for my 1655 but it does not have any identification that I can find. Also, if I restore it, anyone know where I can find the decals for the sides?

The ROPS are supposed to have an ID tag on the back on the crossmember. If it is on the tractor the ID tag is right behind your head on the back crossmember. These tags are only glued on and they do come off if they are hit, I drilled and put self tapping screws in both of mine as they both came off as I was working on them.

I talked to Dumonts once upon a time and they said if I traced the decal on some paper and told them the colors that they would make some for me, but I just never got around to it. Im sure Dumonts will makes some and in fact I need two or three sets of the decals too, so I would buy some as well.

The main thing you want to check for a 1655 is measure the distance front to rear of the axle holes. Most of the time the ROPS will be a longer distance than the 1655 axle will be. Both of my ROPS were that way, but you can overcome that if you need to. Also make sure you get the bottem axle block and the long bolts that hold that block on.
