I started out looking for a ROPS for my 1850. Next best thing I found was a cab here on YT. Drove down to see it, bought it after being encouraged by ShepVA that it should fit and shipped it also using the hauling schedule here on YT. Bonus is the cab has a ROPS built into it that I did not notice until it came off the trailer. BTW Shep, its not on my 1850 yet, but I did get it under cover for the winter. Trying to determine if I want to rehab the AC or not. I know it will be costly but I am also told it prevents getting half-baked in the summer. Here comes winter!

If you can't find a original or want one right away, we have new ones that sell for $1100.00. They include all the mounting hardware and if I remember correctly, also a seat belt kit. If you are interested, call Maibach Tractor 1-800-808-9934 ask for Rudy.

You can always go to a local weld shop, give them some general plans of what you want, and they should be able to fabricate it for you. I plan to do so with my 1600.

One other option for you. FEMCO will engineer a ROPS, canopy, etc for your tractor. I do think Brad's Maibach solution would be easier and probably cheaper though.

Also, it looks like Shep VA has added a ROPS/Canopy off a White to his 1650 Narrow Front. Maybe he'll chime in with some ideas.

Just some thoughts.

Though I havent seen it, if Shep's ROPS is off of a 2-70 it will bolt right on. the roof and support is just a little different. Also, if you find a ROPS off af any white from a 2-85 to a 2-150 or a MM G-1355 it will bolt right on, but likewise the roof will look different. Any oliver rops from anything bigger than a 16 series will bolt right on.

Brad, you can see it at Tractorpics.com in the Oliver category. Also, it's a 1655 not 1650. My mistake. (Sorry Shep. A thousand pardons for my transgression.) ";^)

Looks pretty good, I've done the same on either 1 or 2 tractors in PA (2 I think)

That Rops on the 1655 narrow front was off of a larger White tractor near as I can tell. It did not fit the axle on the 1655 (big suprise) but I did modify it to fit. You can look on the 1655 page on my site and see how it didnt fit right. It does work real good and is not quite so big as the Oliver canopy.

About finding canopies, I have had real good luck finding them. I bought the G-1355 Moline with one on it, bought one from the west coast and put on my 1655 wide front and then just this spring I bought the White canopy and put on the 1655 narrow front. I guess it is all about being in the right place at the right time.

I dont know where there are any for sale right now, but I really dont need another and if I come across one I will let you guys know.

This is kind of a crappy picture, but you can see the White canopy there. And it is a 1655 Myron KY :-)

Do those roofs keep off the horizontal rain in the hurricanes? If so might work for blowing snow here!

Cant tell you that one Canada, I wasnt doing much tractoring in the Hurricane, I was hunkered down and holdin on.

You could do like some of the farmers around here do, they put a plexi glass windershield on the front of the canopies and cut it to fit down over the hood clear to the floorboards. Really keeps the cold off ya going down the road.

You dont have any snow up there yet do ya????

This is the origional Oliver canopy, these are harder to come by than the White ones are are a lot larger and heavier. I would try to find one of these if you could, but both will work, and they should fit your 1750 axle better than they did my 1655.

I will keep my eyes open and let you know if I come across one.

Sorry I havent been around here much lately guys, been busy on the farm trying to get corn off. Also I am getting real tired of reading all these posts of people attacking each other, and this board is just not as much fun to read as it used to be.....

I will be in and out from time to time.

as stated before, they are extremely hard to find, and I have only seen one in real life before and one for sale, so that kinda shows you how rare they can be.

OEM ROPS are pretty hard to find. if all else fails we sell aftermarket ones that look suprisingly original.
