How Can I Tell the Difference Between a Fleetline

What's the easiest way to tell the difference between a Fleetline and Super 88 Diesel? I have looked at one, and the owner is not sure if it is a Fleetline or Super. The sheet metal (including the grill) is missing, so I can't go by that. The wheels are green, and I know this usually means it's a Super (right?) but who knows if they were replaced or repainted at some point. The serial number is 25265-801. I looked at the serial number listings on this site and according to that it should be a '52 model, but if this isn't correct, I would appreciate finding out what the actual year is.

Thanks a lot,
Nathan

O. K I used to work for a dealer and we had a bunch os Supers we took care. They were introduced in the fall of 54, Serial number and I am going by memory started at 6 or7- XXX ZZZ. The last three (ZZZ) 801 in your case is the key to the ring and pinon combination. Confused call me next week on the Hart-parr page when I am back in town

The easiest way to tell at a glance is to see if the frame has flat pads on the sides and front with with tapped 3/4 inch boltholes in them. a super will have these. you can tell when the frame and rear end housing was cast by looking at the dates on the bottom of them.
