I just purchased a super 88 diesel. The tractor has the adjustable type rims --- the rim is held in place by several fine-threaded holders with 1 and 3/4 inch nuts. I have loosened all the nuts in an attempt to remove the rim and tire for repair, but the fine-threaded holders will not "fall" into thier bores enough for me to get the rim off the tractor. So I've spent more than 2 hours loosening the holders, only to realize that I still can't get the silly thing apart. The rim will move in all directions about 1/4 of an inch, but that is'nt enough to get the rimm off thew wheel. There must be something I don't know about these type of rims.... I am hoping that someone out there can help me. Thanks in advance!!

Jon if you have power adjust rims the bolts holding the tightning cam and the inner disc must be removed. By backing off the cam bolt the only movement you will get is what you will get is the 1/4 in. I have 2 super 55's with power adjust and taking it apart is is the only way. Have you tried to take the tire off while still on the axel. Gemplers.com describes the process step by step[resouce center section]

On the tractors I have there is a roll pin driven in crossways so the adjuster bolt can't move into the cast center piece. You need to drive these pins out and the bolt will move and give you room.

Thanks!!! There are holes cross-wise that I cleaned out..I'll bet these are the roll-pin holes.

Hello Bill! I had intentions of visiting more with you before your return to the West, in fact Eric gave me your cell number, but as usual I am swamped with activities. Hope your return trip was a good one. I do not have your e-mail address, but mine is: [email protected]. Drop me a note and I'll respond. I also purchased a 2150 Oliver earlier in the year, a real horse.
