You asked a general question. Is this a Fleetline 77? Then it should have a 2.000 inch crankpin. If so a super 77 -770-1550-1555 crank will fit in the block, same size mains, same stroke, but the crank pin is a 1/4 inch larger in diameter. So offset grinding it will give you a longer stroke.

Your subject and your question seem to be two different thoughts.

If you want to have your existing 77 crank ground for a modestly longer stroke, say .25" or so, check with your machinist. They can weld the journals and then regrind and polish them and rebalance the crank.

If you want a stroke longer than can be safely done with the 77 crankshaft, then someone else will have to answer the question. If you do learn that another crankshaft can be substituted, be real careful about crank to block clearance.

Depending on how much stroke you want and what piston you want to use, you can offgrind the 2.25 for a C123 farmall 1.75 rod journal and use those rods picking up 1/2 in. stroke without welding. this makes for an excellent (1.70) rod ratio, but you will have to use an automotive piston. The possibilities are endless.

Brad.I was going to mention not going below a 2 inch pin. Reason the D-176 Waukesha in a Clark lift truck which is nothing but a 155 stroker motor has had some cranks fail. It has a 1.750 crankpin.
Tractor pulling is one thing and abusing fork lifts is another thing.

Thanks for the thoughts .I do have a rowcrop77 engine . I was curious if there is a crank from some other Waukehsa engine that had larger rod journals that could be off ground that would fit my block.

If I remember right, I saw in the clevite bearing book that there was a 185 wauhesha that used a larger rod journal than any of the olivers. I'll get some more info and get back.
