Did anybody go to the Millersburg auction? How high did everything go? I really wanted to go to find some stuff for my 66 but couldn't make it. Did they have alot of stuff for a 66? Thanks.

Does anyone remember what the 770 brought? It looked pretty good from the auction ad.

The sale started out as a sellers market for sure.
Early 1555D orig, Hydra Power not over and under brought7250.00.Followed by a restored Super 44 at 7400.00 and a 660 gas RC original for 5000.00. The buyer who over paid for the 1555 didn't even know how to put it in gear. Unfortunately the beautiful Ohio countryside surrounding Millersburg has become a tourist trap that is just crawling with yuppies who have far more money than brains. I will post a complete list of prices later today.

Things did start out pretty high. Your comment about rich yuppies around the area is pretty correct. It makes it real hard to still farm. Land sells real high. Every yuppy wants 2 acres and a horse. We've really considered moving away to somewhere we can actually buy land. Some of the other farms have already relocated. I did notice however that some of the tractors that sold high were going home on trailers with out of state plates. The immediate area around the sale is not a big Oliver area. Most of the Amish and Mennonite use Masseys or John Deere and wouldn't even consider an "off brand"(in their view). As far as Oliver 66 parts, I didn't see to many parts. Most of the parts were 55 550 or 88 parts. After some of the people left, things got a lot cheaper. When they got to the impliments some of the items went for less.

I just got home! I thought most tractors sold well. Didn't take down prices though. A 66 parts tractor did bring around $14-1500. Nothing was real low except a nice #5 picker that brought $100. I've seen them bring more than that and weren't as nice! WB.
