I am helping my father rebuild one of these. The engine was really stuck tight, and we could not free it, even after weeks of soaking with penetrating oil. Then we pulled the head, one cylinder had water in it, valves were stuck in that cylinder, have now disassembled whole engine, removed stuck piston, took block to shop, magnafluxed, block is OK, looks like liners of some type. Are they wet or dry?,... replaceable?.

Where do we go from here? All good input and suggestions are welcome Where are several good parts sources we can check out? Parts sites we've checked don't go back beyond the 66. Are any parts for the 66 interchangeable with the 60? Is this a Waukesha engine?

Call Maibach tractor # 1-800-808-9934. They can fix you up with a complete overhaul kit. New sleeves, pistons, rings, gaskets and bearings. I just overhauled my 60 and they had everything I needed. My lifters were badly dished, noone makes new lifters for the 60, so I found someone to put a dome back on them. I was told you can bore the lifter holes to fit lifters from a 77 or 88 also. There is another thing that you will need to find elsewhere, wrist pin bushings.Find a machine shop that has access to aftermarket bushings and crank bearings, take a new wrist pin and rod so they can size them and crossreference to the closest size and ream to fit. You may try your local AGCO dealer for parts also. They are bringing back some parts for the older tractors.
