Did either of these tractors come with a gas engine? I have seen an ad for a 1750 and 1755 gas and I thought they only used deisel engines.

I am looking at a Oliver 1755 gas. What kind of HP does this tractor have and how reliable is it. What is fair value for one with a cab, and Hydraulic loader?

Thanks

Steve is correct the 1750 and 1755 gas used a 283. The diesel used a 310 engine.

Both had options for the 310 ci Waukesha gas engine. From what I have seen the gas engines tend to be a fairly good engine.

I always thought that 283 was the best running engine they ever put in a gas tractor. Sorry Shep, the 310 was used in the 1850/1855. It was not an option in the 1750/55.

Sorry to disagree with J.S. but I got a 1750D that I have been around since it was brand new and it has the 310 in it. It has been rebiult twice so we know it isn't a 283.

I forgot, I would add the 1750 was one of the better tractors gas or diesel. Send me an e-mail and I will tell you a little story about the development of the 310 diesel. Find me on the hart-Parr pages.(HPOCA)
