I have a 1953 88 Orchard Diesel and needs motor overhauled. It's geared to high and needs a lot more power for the speed it runs. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

If you are he11 bent on greatly!! increasing the HP, then buy you a turbo kit. Yes, it does come with a large hole in the block at no extra cost!

You asked an interesting question. First you did not say if you had it on a dyno and how much power it has now. Next in your mind how much horse power are you looking for? Next thing a kit may help you but what about a good diesel tune up?

I've had the tractor on my dyno it puts out about 32 hp at pto speed and about 40 lugging it down. Do you have any other tips.

Thanks. But I knew that Korves had engine kits at fair prices, but I'm looking for a kit to greatly incease horsepower.

A turbo alone will not result in a large horsepower gain. It will tend to improve efficiency, but you would also need more fuel to boost horsepower that dramatically. My 2 cents worth.

When you add any supercharger, you add more air per cylinder charge so you must also add more fuel. 50% hp gains are common on diesels.
