Well I don't know if theseare right or not but they came out of a book with the results of the Nebraska field tests in it. It lists the 66HC as haveing a max drawbar of21.03 max PTO/belt 24.91. The SAE rating it was given is drawbar 16.23 and PTO 22.14. this was forthe Row Crop version.

The diesel is listed as follows. Max PTO/belt 25.03 max drawbar 22.05 Sae rating was PTO/belt 22.43 and drawbar 17.36.

Which of these ratings ae used to advertise the tractors? The Max ratings or the SAE ones?

gas (row crop) rated belt=22.14,max corrected belt 26.05, rated drawbar 16.73, max corrected drawbar=22.30

diesel(row crop) rated belt=22.43,max corrected belt 26.39, rated drawbar 17.36, max corrected drawbar=23.14

this is from OLIVER OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS for Agricultural and Industrial "66" Tractors by The Oliver Corporation printed in U.S.A. issued 5-14-52 S1-4-C11 this is a copy by you know who. It is of pooor quality with extremly dark photos. Can read the text. This along with the service manual and parts manual set me back over $160 BIG RIPOFF next time will try the museum for a manual.

Ollie you need to get a new book or learn how to use the one you have. Or if you are back to quoting 75% of the rated HP or the HP during the economy run you need to state that but that's not what was asked. Besides you gave %100 max load for the gas engine you would not want to mix apples with oranges. According to Nebraska Tractor test 467, the 66 Diesel, test C, 100 maximum load, was 25.03 HP.

My book is right, yours is wrong. I quoted the accuate Oliver prodvided specifications per the book, just like the man asked.

Gee whiz Ollie, I wish you had been around 11-17-53 when the Oliver Corp issued their Oliver Operators manual no.S1-4-LS for the 66 tractors. You could have corrected them on their hp specifications.

There was a recent thread on this subject. Two people who actually knew what they were talking about, unlike you, addressed the discrepancy. You'll do better at reading, I hope, than sarcasm!
