It's amazing how many ID & production numbers there are on these tractors. I have an Oliver 550 which has serial number 75620-519 on the left side dash tag. What is the OEM carb for this model? It currently has what appears to be a Marvel Schebler TSX 245 (updraft carb). It has worked just fine, but now the carb is leaking gas like the float's stuck. But I've cleaned it, blown out jets several times and it still leaks. So I'm just looking to replace it, only it seemingly doesn't match any of the available replacements! Thanks to anyone with a little info.

According to my shop manual the 550s after sreal number 72832-500, which yours would be have the 3 5/8" bore engine and it lists the following carburetor
for serial numbers 72832-500 to 79944-500

Schebler TSX-775 Side Inlet or Zenith Model, 267-JX9, Part 12427 Rear or Side Inlet.

I hope this helps some.

I'll try to save you some $$$.

The float may have filled with gas, the float level adjustment may be wrong. But, by far, the most common cause is dirt floating around in the carb. If it doesn't leak right after you re-install it but does start leaking soon thereafter, that's what it is.

Carbs really don't need to be replaced unless physically damaged. Rebuid kits are about $25 and you can rebuild it in 20 minutes or less. The kits have instructions.
