I have a 1250, when you put oil in the transmission does it also fill the rear end. I can only find one oil overflow plug on the transmission housing. Second question What oil is recomended for the transmission and rear end.

Thanks Frank

The rear end and transmission is lubed by the same lube oil. I have a original owner/operators manual and it says ..quote:Use SAE 90 multi-purpose gear lubricant conforming to military specification MIL-L 2150 only.
Checking: Check transmission lubricant level every 150 hours of tractor operation. Maintain lube level at lower edge of test plug hole. Add lubricant through filler plug opening as required. end quote.
I just changed mine and I just used a straight 90w from the local NAPA store

You can buy an operator's manual... see "Tractor Manuals" at the top left of this page. Then you will have real information, not just "opinions".

Ollie, so you don't know or don't want to tell??? I can't seem to figure it out. So it looks like the guy found someone who could really help him out. Someone who had a manual and was nice enough to take his personal time to help out a fellow Oliver fan.

You are the same troll (136.160.129.193) who uses a different name each time... didn't your mommy teach you your name?

What's a matter Ollie? Attack the person if you can't defend your own information? Maybe you should talk to your mommy and daddy about respect and common sense. Looks like they didn't do a very good job. Grow up "cut and paste, buy a manual boy"!
