I have stumbled across what appears to be an Oliver backhoe buried in weeds. I know it must be a 77 or 88 standard series. Not sure if it is a Super. It does not have side curtains, so it might be a Super. Did Oliver build their own backhoe units or did they purchase them and add them on? Another possiblity is aftermarket. Can anyone give me some information on these. I am going tonight to get a better look, and hopefully make an offer.

Nate, If she does change her mind and it is a Ware, they are still in business in Ware, Mass. If they don't have the part, they'll make it.

Nate, Most oliver backhoes if not all were built by jobbers. My super 77 has a Ware quick attach back hoe and a Ware level lift loader. I think the Wares were the most common but at least two othe companies attached backhoes to oliver industrial tractors and crawlers.

John, thank you for the information. Unfortunately I went to see if the owner would sell and and she said no. Told me that one day she was going to get some work done on it. Tractor has probably been sitting there 20+ years. It's a shame. Thanks again!
