I just purchased a Cockshutt 40 and I want to use it around my farm. I would like to add a 3 pt hitch assembly so I can run a tiller or circular mower. Does anyone know if they made a 3 pt hitch or if there are plans to build one?

Kevin

I've been trying to find one for mine for a while now. The good new is you can use the parts from a 35 40 50 560 and 570 they are all they same, or similar enough to work. The bad news is they arent much easier to find.
Nothing available as an after market system.
I'm attempting to build one for mine with a rockshaft from an AC D17 need to bush it up to the 2.125 size for the cockshutt, but the length is good. I made the lower arm mounting assy and the rest can just be after market parts.

Good luck
Frank

The 3pt was an option on the 40. It is quite rare
to find one on a tractor and finding a used 3pt
I would think even harder. I don't know of any
aftermarket company that makes a 3pt for the 40
as they were a low production tractor(about 15000)
Costs would be high per unit.
