Sorry it took so long to get backto the board.i don't have a computer,I use my folks when i visit. The 1855 runs pretty good!my first pull was last sunday.I took 5th in 10,000# class with guys running 1066"s in 7th gear.not too bad considering my fuel shut off was half out...stupid!!!But I spun her out in 4th direct.I balanced the whole works to start with used arp rod bolts and the stock .637 roosa master. The pump has a different spring in it and a high lift cam ring. nothing fancy.I got 220 out of it with a to4 stock turbo.A dealer around town had a turbo off of a 140 white for 200$ so i tried that, wow!! talk about a flat tourque curve.these should come factory this way.I also had my rods heat treated in rockford.21.00$ One other good thing I would do on every engine that i will put together is O-ring the cylinder head. This is a groove milled in the headaround the fire ring.the groove is .005 deep and the shop presses a .007 wire into the groove.(not sure of the actual measurements but you get the idea)This seals down on the metal part of the head gasket around the sleeve sealing in the gasket.I'm running 30# boost, stock was 3#. the milling process on the head was 150.00$ You almost couldn't blow a head gasket on a stock tractor put together like this.I hope this is enough explanation.By the way under full load she only puffs gray.more fuel needed a lot of power to be had!! :) 310 forever

WOW! Thanks for passing on the details. Quite an idea using o-rings in the cylinder head. I appreciate sharing your secrets with the rest of us. I may very well have to try some of these if I want to build a hot-rod 310 some day. Gotta love that motor! Thanks!
