I've got a 550 negative ground. Last night I rewired the whole tractor. When I hit the key to start it, a spark flew off the positive terminal of the coil. Today I went back out, made sure the positive side of the coil was wired to the switch. Fired it up, and it ran great, as soon as I goosed the throttle, it died. NO spark. Any ideas?

I got her going again. When I rewired it I kinda halfway between the schematic and the way that it was wired. Found out that the previous owner had the coil wired bacwards for a negative ground system. New coil...wired it right....she purrs like a kitten. =)
