I have a friend who has an 1800 gas, widefront, tractor, supposedly has good rubber on it, runs, drives, works, ok, paint, so-so. The tractor is in east central Indiana. He has asked me to get the tractor out of a barn tomorrow and sell it for him. Any ballpark figure on what it is worth ? If I do get it on Tuesday, I will post a picture of it.

I bought a supposedly rebuilt gas 1800 C wide front, totally new paint job and with 85% rubber all around, and 2 remotes with 3100 hours? at auction 3 years ago for $3200. Course, here I am trying to replace the hydrapower steering motor, which I am finding is a formidible operation. It's been a great tractor for my little farm, pulling the 3 bottom plow thru my clay fields with no problems. So far I've only had to replace the starter, the voltage regulator, the brakes, the steering motor and the carb needs either rebuilding or replacing. Now it acts like maybe the hydra power drive is going out. Anyone want to trade an IHC 1066 for this thing?

I gave $1800 cash for mine. I purchased it in west central Indiana (Covington). Paint was ok, none of the instruments worked, Rear rubber about 60%, front rubber about 15% (Bald except for the ctr rib) Most of the three point equipment missing, but the tractor runs excellent. It also has Hydra power/power steering and dual remotes. I have owned this tractor since summer of 2001.

The description that you gave leads to many questions and variables. How long has the tractor been sitting? Apparently the paint is rough and what about the sheet metal? What condition are motor and hydraulics? A price range for a 1800 gas 2000-4900 and I would guess this tractor would be mid to lower end of range.

I will know more today on all of that, we are going to get it out of the barn today, if weather permits, if I get it to my home today, I will post a picture, this tractor is used from time to time, so it should be in decent running condition.
