How rare is a two speed (high and low) 88? My neighbor has one and I wasn't aware they put them on those. It seems more manual control than hydraulic. The lever moves a pretty good distance to engage it. It acts like my 1850 high low not wanting to go downhill in low or it free wheels.

We put a power booster in a 1949 "88". This was probably 30 years ago. Worked great. Wish I had that tractor now. It was traded in about middle 70's.or early 80's. jps

I was down at the Portland Ind. show the year it was the Oliver Gang's summer show and saw a Super 88 that somebody had put the power booster out of a 3 digit tractor into. Plenty of room and didn't look that "cobbled up".

Lewer on the left side, hits the dash panel in the fully-forward position ?

Has an offset in it ?

Couples to a rod that goes into the lower dash next to the hydraulic unit ?

That's a 'Power Booster' and was an option on 880's, but never on 88's, as far as I know (which ain't too far!)

It should be an 880.
