Cockshutt 40 engine different than others

I have a 40 cockshutt. The govenor has a oil line coming directly out the side, back to the filter housing. No other 40s that I have seen has this oil line. Could this be a allis d-19 or gleanor engine? How can I tell? Thanks H-Man

I have a 50 here the same way. it was just something done by some one to increase oil flow to the govenor area. they most like ly pluged the return line that hooks into block below oil filler cap and extended line up to left side of govenor. the 230 uses oil filter cartrage in canaster at rear of engine. 262 has spin on oil filter as well assome difference in govenor and you will have some extra blocks sticking out of motor used for mounting oil filter. manifold will be offset. even allis-Buda 230 have some difference. email me if you want to know more Irv

I think the 262 Ac had a spin on oil filter.
