got a 550 it was painted yellow green underneath it has 3 1/2 bore no hydralics under the seat what do i need to look for for the live pto in the tranny and what does it need for hydralic in the tranny currently has a pump on the govenor apparently for steering the serial number is 67-556-519 spec number is 35-0062 cant find it in my book can any one give me any info

It sounds like you have the Oliver 550 Industrial tractor. They typically had no PTO, no 3 point hitch, but had power steering. You could get the hydraulic unit off of a 550 or Super 55 and install it on yours if you want the 3 point hitch. The PTO would be more difficult.

The serial nubber indicates that it is a 1958, the first year of production for the 550. I am not clear as to what your question is about the hydraulic system or pto.
Are you referring to auxillary hydraulics wich the control does connect under the seat?
Does it have a pto shaft? If it does the pto lever should be to the rear left beside the seat. If the pto is difficult to engage or jumps out there is an adjustment. I will be happy to explain adj. if that is what you are asking.

You sound very knowledgable about these things. I have a 550 gas, pto, three point but no visible external hook ups for my loader that I just installed. I have three 3/8 plugs on the right side of the hydro box. Just in front of the 3 point control lever. How do I hook up a 1/2" male hdro hose to this box?

Sorry it has taken so long for an answer. It I understand your question I do not think that you can rig the loader hose directly. You must have an external valve that will provide the control for the external cylinders. It is installed on the right side of the hydraulic housing directly in front of the control lever. The original valves are hard obtain. You might try a retrofit or contact Maibach Equipment 800-808-9934.
