Has anybody used biodiesel any problems or advantages. The local BP dealer handles it.

I have not seen any difference between bio diesel and non- bio. I've been using a 2% mix for the last two years. End of last year seemed like I had used fuel a little faster then before, then remembered you have to take what you order or pay for it. So am running again this year to make sure. Just finished planting double crop beans with a Great Plains no till drill behind my 1855. That drill is all she wants.

My neighbor has been making his own and running his cars and trucks on it. He gets his oil from fast food restaraunts.

We used a 5% mix last summer. Last November, while putting on NH3, N IA, we had a white gel form in the filters, it was a little different than when #2 gels up on you. We are using it again this year, we'll see what happens.

As to using regular Veg oil, I've heard you shouldn't. There are oxidants that are removed in refining if used for fuel. These will eat out your injectors. May be oil companies sales talk, may be true.

I'll mention that to him when I see him. Maybe this free ride isn't so free after all. I wouldn't use it myself. I would be worried about the impurities.

Running 2% for 2 mos. No problems. Extra lubrication can't hurt older rotary injector pumps.
