What years did they make the Oliver 550?

According to my records manufacture of the 550 begin in 1958 ser:60-501 and ended in 1975 ser:259-491.

Tom the dealer must have been a real dsob, the 1250 did not compare in any way with the 550, the fact is that Oliver pushed their dealers to sell the 1250 when they can out with that model.What a mistake, the only good thing ever to come out of that marketing decision was the 1250 4wd in a deisel. Cheep but a pretty good machine, my father sold several oof them. However he was very upset when he was told the production of 550 had ended in the mid 70's. His last one came from a industrial special order. It had a grill on it like the 1550 etc. except it wasn't iron. Oliver made several poor decisions during the period, they had great tractors but the upper management didn't know it. I think they were a bunch of gugs sitting in their offices out of touch with what was really going on.
