Who ground your cam for you? They should have included a stats card with the cam directing you how to set your valves. If its built up to a .300 lift which is the max you can get out of a stock 77 core, than you will want to set your intakes at .22 and your exhaust at .24 You should really talk to the guy who beefed it up as you say and find out for sure what kind of lift he has on there or you might run into all sorts of problems. Stock cams are timed at .9-.11 on intake and .15-.17 on exhaust Hope this helps----

I HAD BERRY CAM DO IT IN LESTER PRARIE, MN. I DIDN'T THINK OF LOOKING AT THE CARD FOR THAT.
IT WAS BUILT "10% OVER" OR THAT IS WHAT THEY CALLED IT. THANKS FOR THE DIRRECTION.

10% over what? Cam specs are very complex as the variables are centerline, lift, duration, overlap, "area under the curve" and can be different for the intakes and exhausts. Each must be tailored for the application. It sounds like you got a generic cam regrind which may not be any better or worse than stock.

The cam card should have all the specs on it, if not, it's a stock regrind. But at least the cold/hot lash settings should be there.
